| Comments: |
Impressive object, very bright, much brighter central disk, the outer envelope elongated E-W. Nucleus very bright, small and diffuse with extension to the N. The central disk showed four very faint dark fuzzy elongated spots (presumalbly between spiral arms, which were not seen bright). Faint lighter arcs in the surrounding envelope, the S and W ones easiest, the N and E difficult. The bright disk had a brighter condensation to the NW. The disk was mottled by consistent detail, very difficult to detect. Faint star interior to light condensation in the W envelope. |
